An Empty Bench

An empty bench gathers no musicians.
Neither does a partially or fully unplayable instrument suffering from neglect that hasn't been given the proper maintenance.
The shortage of organists is no longer a back burner issue; for many institutions/organizations it's reached critical mass, and technology alone in the hands of non-musicians is not a permanent fix.
Happily, however, there are some viable solutions; we know what it's going to take [See blog, Masonic Organ Playing, Part IV].
